Return From Active Duty Military Service

First of all, thank you for your service! We’re honored to have the opportunity to assist you in finding a healthcare plan that meets your needs.

Your return from active duty qualifies you for a special enrollment period of sixty days. That means that you have the opportunity to enroll in a Covered California health plan even if we’re not currently in an open enrollment period. Typically, if you wanted to enroll in a new plan or change your existing coverage, you’d have to wait until the next open enrollment period. That means you’d have to wait until November at the earliest. However, since you qualify for a special enrollment period, you are free to shop and enroll now.

You also qualify for a special enrollment period if you left reserve duty or the California National Guard in the last 60 days.

If any of the above situations apply to you, you may want to take a couple of minutes to get a quote and see what your healthcare options are.
