WHA’s Network: 6 Medical Groups in Northern California

Western Health Advantage was started by three medical groups: Mercy Medical Group, North Bay Healthcare, and UC Davis Medical Group. Today, WHA consists of the 6 medical groups below. With a wide range of doctors, clinics and hospitals and a commitment to not using narrow networks, WHA members can easily find high quality doctors who accept their coverage. These six medical groups represent 14 hospitals.

Our agency has had many client complaints about doctors not accepting coverage by Health Net, Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross. There have been no complaints with Western Health Advantage. In addition, some clients do not like the limitations of being confined to Kaiser Permanente doctors and hospitals. For these clients, Western Health Advantage offers a perfect solution. WHA was formed by doctors and medical groups, and regularly attracts new physicians to join their network. The medical staff is happy with the health plan, and this satisfaction has a trickle down affect to members as well. WHA members are consistently happy with the customer service and the quality of care they receive.
