Online Access to Western Health Advantage: MyWHA.org

As “the little carrier that could”, Western Health Advantage offers some great features that you might only expect of larger health insurance carriers. WHA members have access to a personalized online account that is convenient with practical tools that allow them to manage their health plan.

If you are a WHA member, and wish to create an online account, visit www.MyWHA.org. To complete the process you will need your 11-digit WHA member number. Once you fill in some basic information and submit, WHA will take 1-2 business days to verify and process your account. 1-2 business days is a bit slow in an online world, where most people expect to get into their account immediately, but once you get in, you’ll be glad you did because in your account you can:

eBill: Pay Your Bill

Premium is due the last day of the month for the next month’s coverage. WHA offers several payment options. You can pay your bill the old fashioned way by mail, or you can sign into your online account and pay online. Individual and Family plan members can pay through their online account. Members on group plans will have their employee contribution deducted through company payroll; however, the small business administrators of a group plan can pay online as well.

In your online account, you can pay by one of three methods:

  • E-Check: for a one-time payment from your checking or savings account
  • Automatic Payments: from your checking or savings account (deducted on the 28th of the month or the first business day after the 28th if that day falls on a weekend or holiday)
  • Credit Card: one-time payment (Visa, MasterCard or Discover)

You can also view your invoices and payment history in your online account.

Connect with Your Doctor

Keeping in step with advanced technology, WHA members can email their Primary Care Physician 24 hours a day 7 days a week, ask questions, schedule appointments, view lab results, access medical records, and request prescription drug refills all online.

Change Your Doctor

A primary care provider is there to coordinate your care. It’s important to WHA that you have a Primary Care Physician (PCP) that you are completely satisfied with. To switch doctors for any reason, you may do so through your online MyWHA Account. Just follow three steps:

  1. Click “Change Your Doctor” under Tools.
  2. Choose the PCP (Preferred Care Provider) that you would like to change.
  3. In the WHA provider directory, choose a new doctor and click “Select as PCP”.

Western Health Advantage will send you a new membership card which lists your chosen Primary Care Physician. Once you have selected a new doctor and receive your notification, you may begin visiting your new PCP the 1st of the following month.

Eligibility and Plan Information

View health plan account information such as subscriber ID, health plan benefit details, and enrollment information. You can also update your language preference and find out which service providers administer your mental health benefits, etc.

Health and Wellness Resources

Want to lose weight? Want to quit smoking? MyWHA offers online tools to help with smoking cessation and diet. WHA offers the Healthy Roads program, which includes weight management, fitness, stress management, nutrition and more. For weight loss, Healthy Roads uses a point system that is somewhat similar to Weight Watchers.
